Koreatown Youth and Community Center serves the evolving needs of the Korean American population in the greater Los Angeles area as well as the multi-ethnic Koreatown community. KYCC's programs and services are directed toward recently immigrated, economically disadvantaged youth and families, and promote community socioeconomic empowerment. After the Los Angeles civil uprising in 1992, we expanded from being an exclusively ethnically focused agency to including the surrounding community. Today, we serve more than 11,000 people each year at four locations throughout Koreatown, most of whom are first generation immigrants from Asia and Latin America. Some of our programs, most notably our Clinical Unit, provide services throughout L.A. County.
